It’s a bank holiday rockabilly/garage/punk blowout! Four ace bands for the price of a central London pint, plus free shot on entry and top tunes on the jukebox all night.
THE PHANTOM COWBOYS
Bad juju-toting dark rockabilly from the unlikely wilds of Norwich. With an infectious sound that welds voodoo rhythm to speakeasy swing, these guys are the real deal – we consider it criminal that they’ve not yet graced the London stage and are putting things right forthwith.
JAY VEE AND THE CARDINAL SINS
Black-clad rock’n'roll motherf*ckers fronted by your humble promoter. Expect a garage-rock’n'roll-punkabilly attack with pounding drums, thundering bass and spiky Telecaster twang.
HOWLIN’ BONES ‘Untraditional rockabilly’ they proclaim themselves, and holy hell, are they right. Skittering from track to track at breakneck speed as though some wires got seriously crossed deep within a Sun Studios console, these fellas have got to be seen to be believed. THE V-1s Greased-up, in your face garage punk rock in the most old-school of old-school fashions, the V-1s walk the walk and stand head and shoulders above most ‘punk’ acts in terms of talking the talk. By turns slick, angular, confrontational and occasionally outright aggressive, we can’t get enough of this three piece and we reckon you’ll love ‘em too.
