Vodun “Ascend” album launch

Two and a half years after they broke into the wider consciousness with the launch of “Possession”, Chaos Theory presents the defiant fireball that is Vodun, who are back with their new album “Ascend”.

————————–
Vodun

Towering over the foundations of of their debut album, Vodun return to the city that forged them after touring Europe, sharing the stage with bands including Amenra, Turbowolf, The Picturebooks, Steak, Orange Goblin, Witchsorrow, Masiro and Uncle Acid and the deadbeats, and taking part in Desertfest London, Hellfest, Afrompunk Festival and Desertfest Belgium.

With an ever-clearer vision and sound to respond to the ominous political shifts occurring around the globe, this is the trio’s most ferocious war-cry to date.

“A wholly unique and positively electrifying take on heavy metal-tinged, hard-charging afro-psych” – Noisey

“Consistently raising the bar” – Afropunk

————————–
Bruxa Maria

Playing either as a trio or four-piece, Bruxa Maria hit back hard against the dismal world band leader Gill Dread sees around her, by playing politically-charged punk, sludge and noise, with a powerful focus that levels all. Featuring electronic noise generator Mark Dicker.

They’ve been well received at Supernormal Festival and when supporting Terminal Cheesecake, Hey Colossus and Casual Nun and we can’t wait to see them back again in London.

“Sublimely furious” – The Quietus

“Full of smart twists and turns.” – Echoes And Dust

————————–
The Hyena Kill

A Manchester-based duo, playing pure hard rock, mixed in with elements of noise, groove metal and post-hardcore.

Having already secured slots at Download Festival and Portals this year, The Hyena Kill sit comfortably in lineups in the metal, doom, indie and math rock scenes, so one guaranteed to go down well with fans of tonight.

Chaos Theory presents Warren Schoenbright, Riotmiloo, Metalogue

Chaos Theory presents three projects with completely unique takes on noise, industrial, post-punk and electronic sounds.

—————————–
Warren Schoenbright

A trio who make ritualistic tribal noise using guitar, vocals, electronics and drums. They play to audiences and appeal to fans of metal, ambient, electronic and even prog.

Their latest single “Excavations” was inspired by the abandoned machinery of a now-defunct haematite mine. Dominated by fractured absorbing rhythms, being in the room with them is an absolutely exhilarating experience.

Check out the single out on Vacant Fulfilment.

“A powerful and concise statement.” – Avant Music News

—————————–
Riotmiloo

An energetic live experience, Riotmiloo is the project of the singer of garage-punk-riotgrrrl project Venom Seeds. Encapsulating the vocals, screams and protest of women’s real life stories, her haunting and powerful vocals create a cathartic and hypnotic rhythm and noise experience.

Often found performing live with producer Eva|3, the integration of post-industrial bleakness with riotous punk fury is an experience to behold.

Her debut concept collaboration album, “La Pierre Soudée”, was released via German label ant-zen in 2015 and saw her collaborate with different electronic, industrial and noise producers, reflecting their styles and weaving her messages into their music.

“An emphatic but balanced parlando with dark industrial sound punches” – Peek-A-Boo-Magazine

—————————–
Metalogue

An electronic producer who we’ve seen performing at experimental, post-rock, industrial, live soundtrack and IDM events.

His uncompromising attention to detail, with his audio and tactile sensitivity, has led to an already broad selection of lavish records. He has shared the stage with Jarboe, Father Murphy, Huron, thisquietarmy, Only Echoes Remain and end.user, has EPs out on Abstrakt Reflections and Section 27, and is one of the minds behind underground IDM promotion Towards Collapse.

Tonight he’s going to play an entirely new set, with all attendees receiving a free digital track that will be unavailable anywhere else.

Chaos Theory/Match& fuse present: The Display Team, Magnus Loom, Ms Mercy

Genre-fluid promoters of the weird and wacky Chaos Theory join forces with promoters of avant-garde jazz, prog and all manner of genre-colliding music Match&Fuse, to present a special lineup of audio oddities.

———————
The Display Team

Two years after Chaos Theory had the sheer giggly joy of working with this supergroup on their sold out album launch show.

Containing members of Nøught, Gong and Knifeworld, this prog-punk orchestra creates a heavy assault of surprisingly upbeat, melodic nonsense, resulting in something like a cross between The Specials and Mr Bungle.

“A beast with 24 limbs, and 6 brains fused into a sympathetic matrix of heady harmonies, ballistic brass, romping-stomping riffs and more “wonk” than a bad hedge.” – Sputnikmusic

———————
Magnus Loom

A heady mix of almost indefinable sounds, utilising heavy electronics, light-fingered instrumentation and falsetto vocals to result in a medley of experimental pop and punk. Of sorts.

“A cornucopia of brightly burning pitches and rhythms.” – Folk and Honey

———————
Ms Mercy (launch gig)

A new noise project of total chaos, rock, metal, noise, prog, punk and more, featuring members of WorldService Project. A brilliant FNM/SOAD/Bunglesque experience.
