This month, Chaos Theory’s long-running event is in a different venue for a change! And all for an immense display of jawdropping math rock glory.
Memory Of Elephants
A trio from Bristol who are insanely brilliant at making technically perfect math rock sound like noise and making noise rock sound like progressive perfection.
They blew us away at when playing with Zolle last year and with and at The Facemelter the year before. Come and wrap your noodles around this sound.
“A psychedelic, noisy twist on their math-rock sound.” – Atom Smasher Music
A band we saw playing with Lost In The Riots last year, and one who’s made a strong start to their career with their debut EP ‘Illuminations’.
Sitting between exciting and pacey math rock and instrumental post-rock, they’re a hit with fans of any type of rock music.
“Reaching back into a time when math-rock and post-rock were closer than they are now” – Echoes And Dust
A frantically awesome guitarist-drummer outfit playing what can only be described as a cacophonous mix of math rock and grindcore, with the party attitude of slam death metal.
Truly awesome stuff.
“Throws the listener around like a rag doll and is as majestic as it is uncomfortable.” – Louder Than War Magazine

Becoming///Animal (members of Zu/This Mortal Coil/Cindytalk), The Brain Center at Whipple’s, Mark Dicker
Chaos Theory proudly presents Becoming /// Animal, a new project by amazing collaborative duo Massimo Pupillo of Zu, and Gordon Sharp of Cindytalk and This Mortal Coil.
Their first album “A Distant Hand Lifted”, an intense, filtered orchestra that roars and hisses, becoming one with magnificent haunting vocals, has just been released by Trost Records.
The Brain Center at Whipple’s, an experimental semi-improvisational trio who use noise and electronics shamelessly. Last seen by us when they DJed at Mouse On The Keys, Mutiny on the Bounty and Strobes at Rich Mix last year.
Mark Dicker of Bruxa Maria and Palehorse, performing his solo project, rife with heavy electronic sounds and audio experimentation.
March 7, 2018 – March 9, 2018
Lights Down Productions present – HEAR ME HOWL, a one woman, rowdy as hell piece of gig-theatre like no other.
Jess is turning 30 and she’s just discovered punk. Some might say punk is dead, others would say she should really stick to the day job, but the resounding concern is: shouldn’t she be concentrating on settling down by now?
The play explores the characters journey via her discovery of punk music (& punk philosophy) and her story is told from behind and with the help of a drum kit and defiant, with drumsticks in hands, Jess lurches into an unknown future, one where she throws convention to the wind, and questions how much autonomy those with a womb really do have, here in the western world.
It promises to be a very punk, DIY performance, half gig/half spoken word, full rage! Through learning about punk Jess finds a way to express her anger at what society expects from her and she rages against the path her life is on.
We are at Landor Space, Clapham, South London 7th, 8th and 9th March at 7:30pm and 9th March at 2:30pm.
Tickets £10 full price, £8 concessions

We PARTY til the bell tolls!!! NYE 2017 Fuckers!!!
Here at The Fighting Cocks we pride ourselves on throwing the best parties all year round but nothing says celebration like NYE!! The beer will flow like wine and the whiskey flows like beer.
We’ll have live carnage from…..
The Blue Carpet Band
They havent stopped for the whole of 2017, playing every nook and cranny, bar and toilet venue of the UK. So were pleased as punch to have them play their last show of the year with us!
A powerhouse five-piece garage/ dirty rock’n'roll band. Classic blues-rock proponents such as The Yardbirds and early Rolling Stones mixing it up with New York punk and late 60′s protopunk. Think big riffs, 12-bar boogie and unstoppable energy.
The band so nice we let them play twice (in 2 months!) After they played their last show we had several punters left with a hankering for this Brighton duo… dont let the name fool you, theres nothing skinny about these two noise makers… this is full fat psyched out fuzzed up garage punk.
These guys may aswell become the FC resident band. We just fucking love them. Gutter garage rockers, sleazy n greasy with crackin hooks that’ll stick in your tiny mind till next year… hehe!
A FREE Sailor Jerry and mixer for each and everyone of you who ventures into venue… believe us, youre gonna need it with this lot.
All of this festivity for only a £5, bought in advance www.wegottickets.com/event/424985
