Music to die for: Hawaii Zombies

FREE entry night at Kingston’s most rock and roll venue, The Fighting Cocks, and Red Hot Music is proud to present the first ever UK date for Hawaii Zombies, a pop/punk band from Italy.

Backed by the incendiary punk/post-punk of Who Killed Nancy Johnson? – “spiked with amphetamines… a band that embraces punk’s origins as well as influences from the last four decades” – thePUNKsite.com.

Plus rock/pop/punk band 50ft Woman, fronted by 6ft glamazon Minki – “Think Aerosmith, Debbie Harry, The Ramones, The New York Dolls , CBGB’s and the film ‘Into the Valley of The Ultra Vixens’ all rolled into one and you may get a feel of what [they're] about” – The Gassienda.

Supported in turn by local punk band Pistolhead – “Fuck off am I listening to them, I’m off to do some gardening” – Chris Evans, Radio 2.

All this for FREE. Red Hot Music must be stupid. Take advantage.

A Real Rock’n'Roller

An Alternative Gathering return to the nest to bring you a night of dirty rock’n'roll

The Blue Carpet Band – Powerhouse five-piece dirty garage punk rock’n'rollers based in North London. Sounds like classic blues-rock proponents such as The Yardbirds and early Rolling Stones mixing it up with early New York punk, The Cramps and The Stooges, think big riffs, 12-bar boogie and unstoppable energy.

Rollin’ Machine – A raw 3 piece punk rock n roll band from Southend on sea. Dan fisher guitar/vocals, Evan Evans drums/vocals, Peter Kennedy on bass. Influences include Oasis, Stone Roses, Kasabian, The Small Faces, The Who, The Jam, punk and more!!! We are a wall of sound.

Blackmail Box – In Nottingham late 2013, inspired by a million noise slingers, Blackmail Box formed with a desire to create grimy rock’n'roll and rockabilly surf flavoured garage punk.
