Russian/Greek Antifa solidarity benefit

We are hosting a night of international antifascist solidarity. The night will start with a talk by comrades from the Libertatia squat in Greece who’s building was burned down by fascists. They’ll give an overview of the rise of the far-right in Europe and efforts anarchists are doing to combat this.

Then the party begins.

We’ve got a hectic and frankly quite random lineup of bands for your musical enjoyment.

Inner Terrestrials
’24 years on the road and stronger than ever, London’s legendary Inner Terrestrials are a stomping mix of dub, punk, ska, folk and general anarchic danceability.’

Killdren
‘Sitting uneasily between straight-up nihilism and fresh-faced naivety, Killdren pen politically charged slapstick anthems.
They form the ideal soundtrack to the worst generation in history.’

Eskorputas
’3 piece girl punk band’ and winner of ‘minimalist band bio’ award 2018.

The Chain of Panic
‘Two parts Lithuanian, one part South African H/C THRASH PUNK.’

More acts TBC shortly.

Tickets will be £5 on the door (donations if unwaged/carer) and all money raised will be split between Libertatia and imprisoned Russian anti-fascists.

Black Water County, Blood and Whiskey, Boogedy Smak FREE ENTRY

Bangers Embrace Presents and The Fighting Cocks Bar & Live Music Venue proudly present

Black Water County are finally coming to Kingston. The six-piece folk/punk band from Bournemouth have built a reputation as an exciting live act at festivals in recent years, and were runners up in the recent Fireball UK ‘Fueling The Fire Tour’ finals at the Islington O2. FFO Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphy’s, Ferocious Dog, The Rumjacks, The Dreadnoughts and Reel Big Fish…

In support for the night we have Blood & Whiskey from Staines… think what would happen if you mixed Frank Turner, Dustin Kensrue, Brian Fallon, Bruce Springsteen, The Cure, Jimmy Eat World and Johnny Cash.

We’ll also be joined by Kingston folk punx Boogedy Smak… The group take their influences from all over, from metal to Blues, Crust-punk to country and display this in their music by the change of dynamics song to song. We love them.

Call Me Malcolm, Millie Manders & The Shut Up, The Foamers FREE ENTRY

Proudly presented by The Fighting Cocks Bar & Live Music Venue and Bangers Embrace Presents

Call Me Malcolm return for a headline show at The FC after opening for Bar Stool Preachers and The Lagan back in May and we’re ecstatic to have them back. A five piece ska/punk band from London, blending hard punk, a crunchy ska sound with three part harmonies. Originally inspired by the halcyon days of Goldfinger circa late 1900s, the band quickly evolved a harder, more sardonic, Random Hand style edge.

Millie Manders and The Shutup played one of the very first BE shows and we’ve been gagging to get her and her merry crew back. Millie creates cross-genre punk that is hard to ignore. With lyricism that pokes fun, draws you in or leaves you questioning social norms teamed with incredible vocal dexterity, grinding guitars, irresistible horn hooks and a pumping rhythm section, the Millie Manders Music Machine churns out more raw punk fusion than you can shake a stick at, with a huge amount of Pop appeal.

Local creatures The Foamers will be opening the the evening… playing old classics and the first brand new material in many years.

Burnt Tapes, Skiv, Swan Prince, Wonder Beers FREE ENTRY

Proudly presented by The Fighting Cocks Bar & Live Music Venue and Bangers Embrace Presents

An evening of 4 of the UKs best on the punk rock scene telling stories of days gone by and other strange tales of the sea.

The Burnt Tapes are a four-man tag team formed in 2014 in London. They play melodic punk rock/org-core/gruff/alcohol/farts/regret kinda music with limited woahs-and-ooohs! A pleasure to have them return to The Cocks.

We all know The Wonder Beers too well.. New style British punk/rock anthems, that make every day feel like a Friday night! Woo hoo!

Absolute joy to have FC first timers Swan Prince from Birmingham… Just 4 mates with a lame band name making skate punk songs. Est. 2017. They shared stages in recent months with Bad Cop/Bad Cop, The Murderburgers, The Bombpops and lets not forget their ongoing love affair with our openers for the evening SKIV – Booty twerkin, apathy shirkin, dorothy perkin punk rock since 2016.

“Now is no time to think of what you do not have.
Think of what you can do with what there is”
