Zooparty – Formed in Linkoping in November 2005, Zooparty have so far released 3 albums featuring as special guests none other than Glen Matlock and Tony James.
Rock’n'Roll Suicides – A 4 piece garage band from London. Influenced by the ProtoPunk scene of the early 70s. No synths, no Gimmicks just no nonsense Rock n Roll.
Sister Paul – Japanese Glam Punk since 1992. Sister Paul comprise a male bassist singing in soprano and a female drummer in alto singing songs for gays and social deviants!
Gunner Who – An engaging skuzzed up punk outfit from Leyton with a certain rough-hewn charm. Sounds like Thrilled Skinny or pre-Blur!

An Alternative Gathering return to the nest to bring you a night of dirty rock’n'roll
The Blue Carpet Band – Powerhouse five-piece dirty garage punk rock’n'rollers based in North London. Sounds like classic blues-rock proponents such as The Yardbirds and early Rolling Stones mixing it up with early New York punk, The Cramps and The Stooges, think big riffs, 12-bar boogie and unstoppable energy.
Rollin’ Machine – A raw 3 piece punk rock n roll band from Southend on sea. Dan fisher guitar/vocals, Evan Evans drums/vocals, Peter Kennedy on bass. Influences include Oasis, Stone Roses, Kasabian, The Small Faces, The Who, The Jam, punk and more!!! We are a wall of sound.
Blackmail Box – In Nottingham late 2013, inspired by a million noise slingers, Blackmail Box formed with a desire to create grimy rock’n'roll and rockabilly surf flavoured garage punk.

An Alternative Gathering and Sowilo Media are delighted to present an EIGHT band extravaganza, with music that both represents the Joy Division era and the present, with of course a Joy Division set to boot. A true celebration of music and spirit!
Morgellons – A Post-Punk vision of the future whilst embracing the past … Taking the blueprint of bands like Joy Division and Magazine, the frozen intensity of early Banshees and the art-school nihilism of the Velvets through to the Stooges, Morgellons have created a sound that, although rooted in a rich musical past, has a relevance and urgency that marks them out as something very different from their peers.
Naevus – A unique blending together of varying styles — industrial, folk, post punk — [think Swans, think Devoto, think Wire], Naevus formed in London in 1998 and released their debut “Truffles of Love” in 1999. The new album ‘Curses’ will be released this summer and this gig offers an exclusive chance to hear much of the new material live as appearances in London are very rare.
Transmission Control – This While Angels Watch side-project is an homage [rather than a tribute band] by fans of old, to the urgent, chaotic, inspired journey that Joy Division took us on, taking care to present authentic versions of the original songs often with musical and lyrical variations that were either performed, written or recorded by the band themselves, but without aping the characters or the moves.
1984 (Crisis) – Crisis were a British punk rock band formed in 1977. They performed at rallies for Rock Against Racism (RAR) and the Anti-Nazi League (ANL), and at Right to Work marches. British music weekly, Sounds used the phrase “Music to March To” to describe their distinctly edgy, controversial, alienated, political brand of punk rock. Now back in action with co-founder, Tony Wakeford and the moniker, 1984.
Absolute Beginners – This is not a tribute/cover band with 3 members wearing suits, this line up features a collection of well known punk musicians who want to pay homage to Weller’s music and to The Jam! “It’s all about not trying to look like the Jam, 3 lads in black suits, playing Weller’s songs note for note, we play our own interpretations of them, with our own energy and enthusiasm.”
Underclass UK – Adding a street punk edge to the evening with their blue collar outlook on the world with a sound that doesn’t hide from its metal or glam roots. Comparisons to Cockney Rejects are not without warrant. Also fans of Joy Division, they will repectfully be playing a number at the show, their way.
Holy Faction – From the ashes of ‘Jonestown’ comes this north west London trio playing funky-post-punk material that captures the essence of Magazine, the groove of Killing Joke and a hint of Wire, alongside a magic all of their own.
Metropolis – An alternative, synth driven post-punk rock band from East Anglia who write and perform retro-futurist music with a dystopian slant. Their inspiration comes from bands such as Killing Joke, Hawkwind, Numan and Joy Division to name just a few.

JAY VEE presents a fourth night of crazed and depraved rock’n’roll shenanigans at the Islington!
Probably the loudest band in the world. Expect rock’n’roll distilled to its various essences – pounding rhythm, howling guitars and a whole host of fluids we won’t mention here. There will be rolling around, screaming and an insatiable urge to dance convulsively. Freaking terrifying, and an honour to have ‘em on the bill.
No nonsense Motorpunk from the wilds of York. These guys have been slaying audiences since 2011, and are the closest thing you losers will ever get to seeing Lemmy & co in their prime, with a unique spin on a classic sound. Proud to unleash them on London for the first time in a long while as they present their new long-player ‘Burston’ to the public..
Proper psychobilly for deviants, freaks, pervs and oddballs of most descriptions. See you in the front for ‘8 Heads in a Duffel Bag’.
THE RATTLE SHAKERS
Brand new rock’n’roll / r’n’b hipshakers in the classic Dr Feelgood mould. Big riffs, skittering drums and general savagery abound.
As always, there’ll be free shots on the door and cool tunes on the stereo system all night. Get the fuck down, and help us keep live music live!

The Venomers – An exciting rock and roll beat combo. New kids on the block playing garage punk and rock’n'roll surf.

**Alan Clayson and the Argonauts** “were one of rock’s most glorious and enjoyable follies, and somewhere there is a parallel universe where they are bigger than The Beatles” (Rock ‘N’ Reel) and hold “a premier position on rock’s Lunatic Fringe” (Melody Maker).
In the late 1970s Clayson was being spoken of and written about in the same paragraphs as Wreckless Eric, John Otway, Tom Robinson and Elvis Costello, and featured in a BBC Radio One In Concert (which turned up on a 2001 bootleg CD).
Notoriety and cult glories aplenty but the Argonauts eventually succumbed to the treacherous seas of showbiz: no golden fleece. That was presumed to be that until a telephone call from out of the blue in summer 2005 from Damaged Goods records resulted in the release of “Sunset On A Legend”, a double-CD retrospective, and a reformation for a sensational farewell performance – which turned out to be the first of many. Here’s another not to be missed for fans of post-punking pre-punking outre outsider rock’n'roll.
Plus **The Bronsons** – pub rock and rhythm’n'booze revivalists in a Brinsley Scwartz via Ducks Deluxe sense, plus a bit of acidic Dr Feelgood punky boogie woogie oh yes. The Count Bishops and The Inmates are also reference points via a little counter cultural trippy blues. A great night out in themselves.
And **Eliphant** – psych pop , strains of late 60’s U.S. garage pop too, but this has that R’n'B fuelled slightly whimsical late 60’s brit feel, decently hooky and an authentic retro sound, fine work.
