About

We’re punks. We’re anarchists. We’re interested in signposting to diy punk and anarchist events. We’re not interested in big corporate events even if they fall under the genre ‘punk’. So if you’re running a diy gig (of any genre, we’ve got preferences but we’re not snobs), fundraiser, or other event then feel free to send us the details using the submission form.

Create a login and you’ll be able to edit your events on the fly.

A lot of the political events at social centres, bookshops etc come from radar.squat.net – we aggregate their events into our website. We can’t guarantee all the events will be punk or anarchist, but they will at least be non-commercial.

A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY

eroding empire was begun at the beginning of the year 2000 by a couple of volunteers at the 56a Infoshop in the Elephant & Castle area of South London.
Being part of a larger network of infoshops, social centres, squats, collectives, friends, punx and the Do It Yourself scenes all over the world, the infoshop had/has a regular flow of people who are new to London coming through the door and wondering what’s going on in the area. Like most infoshops, 56a is a place where people and groups can publicise their events and display or drop off their flyers, notices, posters and the like for people to read or take away… so we ended up with an array of little bits of paper that if put together would represent all the different alternative/ radical events happening in London.
So we did just that- we compiled all the info into one free information newsheet and eroding empire was born.

As the world went online, so did we. In 2002 the website was set up, providing a calendar of events, information on venues and locations, and aspects of other diy culture in the capital. The rest, well it’s history. We’re still here, and the empire is still eroding.
