In April and October 2023, thousands of us gathered to denounce and try to put an end to the A69 Castres-Toulouse motorway, denouncing a project inherited from the past century and triply harmful: useless, ecocidal and antisocial.

In 2023 and 2024, resistance was brought to the national and even international level, without however causing political decision-makers to waver, supported by their Atosca/NGE dealer friends and the judicial and police apparatus.

The determination to defend lands threatened by artificialization, to fight against antisocial infrastructure and to promote alternatives for resilience to climate issues has been illustrated in multiple ways: legal appeals, occupations in the trees and on the ground, debate at the National gAssembly, gatherings, visits by widely known activists and artists, sabotaging of construction equipment, hunger and thirst strikes, alternative development project Une Autre Voie… Solidarity actions directed against the actors of the project throughout France strengthened our determination and hundreds of people converged to reinforce the occupations on site. The State tries in vain to bury the protest thanks to a powerful repressive apparatus, but South Tarn resists! Against the highway and its entire production chain, from gravel pits in Ariège to bitumen plants in Haute-Garonne and Tarn, let us converge en masse in the South-West, for a large-scale popular mobilization. Let’s block the A69 construction sites and take back the land grabbed by Atosca/NGE. 

Let’s meet for a prologue on June 1st in Ariège against the gravel pits, from where a convoy will leave to join Act 3 against the A69 on June 8 and 9, 2024! Let’s continue to widen the breach opened against the A69 and its world!

The highway will not pass!
